After careful thought I have chosen to raise money
for these two children's charities. The Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy (FRCT)
is my local charity and, of course, has a connection with horses.
Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity (GOSHCC) is based in London where I work, but is nationally known.
Both charities support young people from all over the country. All
amounts raised will be split equally between the two charities.

Louisa Monck is an ex-patient of Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) and an ex-student of the Fortune Centre of Riding Therapy (FCRT).
Louisa had a rare syndrome when she was a child and was monitored at GOSH until she was 14 but received successful treatment at this leading paediatric hospital.
Also, Louisa is horse-loving girl with special needs, which enabled her to gain a place at the FCRT. Her time at this special centre has made her more confident, enabled her to relate more successfully to others and given her greater control over her own life.
By supporting my challenge you'll be helping students like Louisa. |

The
Fortune
Centre of Riding Therapy (Registered Charity Number 1845352) is a Children's charity
near where I live in the New Forest. The Fortune Centre is a college which
offers young people with special needs unique and specialised education where
the horse is at the heart of the teaching.
For the students at the FCRT, horses are at the centre of their lives and their learning. Each horse at the FCRT costs £2000 per year to keep. £2000 will cover the costs of keeping 5 horses for a year.

Everyone has heard of GOSHCC (Registered
Charity Number 235825). They do fantastic work treating over 90,000
children each year. The Hospital is at the forefront of paediatric
medicines in this country and a world force in child health.
For every child treated at the hospital, accommodation is provided for at least one parent. This means that there can be over 1000 parents a week are staying at GOSH. £20,000 will cover the costs of running one of the parents' accommodation buildings, Powis Place, for nearly one year. |
